Guest House Itoya is a traditional Japanese townhouse that was built over 80 years ago. So the outside is still in it’s original form and is now being reused as a guest house. It may be a little old but if you are in Japan you have to stay in a Japanese house to get the full experience. Because there is just nothing better than a traditional Japanese house. It is very beautiful so you won’t want to miss out on this experience. And as it is so affordable why not stay in a place like this? This guest house is located near the NIshijin area and is about a 15 minute walk away from the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and about a 20 minute walk away from the Kinkakuji Temple. But the price at this guest house is very reasonable as it is 2,500 yen for the dormitory room, 3,600 yen for the single room, and 3,200 yen for the twin room. And the great thing about this place is that it includes shampoo, conditioner, body soap, face wash, and make-up remover. They also serve breakfast, free drinks, earplugs and towels. On top of that they have laundry machines, wi-fi, computers, lockers, information service and a kitchen. So although this gues house is located a bit further away from the station compared to the other guest houses i’ve introduced they do offer more as well.
Another popular guest house that is located near Kyoto station is the K’s House Kyoto. It is only about a 9 minute walk away from the Kyoto Station and is a very well equipped facility.
