Cheapest Hostels in Tokyo

With the growing number of tourists there have been more and more hostels popping up around Tokyo. So there are tons of hostels to choose from and a range of them in regards to price. Some are very cheap and look cheap and others are cheap but look expensive. And there are also some hostels that are very expensive. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay then here is a list of hostels to take a look at.

I’ve written a few other blog posts about hostels in Tokyo as well as a few other big cities in Japan so if you are looking for some recommendations then you should take a look at a few of the other blogs that i’ve written.

Another place that has clean and capsule style dorm rooms is the Oakhostel Fuji. They have capsule rooms with a common room area for people to gather. They also provide big lockers for the guests which is a safe way to store your belongings. Unfortunately, there is no free breakfast and there is no kitchen available either so you’ll have to have all your meals outside. They are located in the Asakusa area and they are also very close to a metro station. Although this hostel does not have a kitchen they do have a laundry machine and you can rent a bike here as well.

Guesthouse Fete is a great hostel that is located near that station and they also have a restaurant with some affordable homemade food and a bar where you can grab drinks. There is even a roof terrace where you can go out to tan or read a book and they even have a hot tub!

In Shibuya there is a hostel called Almond Hostel. This is a very convenient location as Shibuya is a great place if you want to go to other tourist locations in Tokyo. There are also lots of places to shop, eat and drink in the area. The hostel provides laundry facilities and free wifi. There is also a cafe but unfortunately they don’t provide free breakfast. Although this hostel is in a great location it is also one of the most chaotic areas so there may be some noise. If you want somewhere that is extremely quiet then this probably won’t be the best hostel for you.

As i’ve mentioned before there are tons of other hostels/capsule hotels that are very affordable and haven’t been listen on this blog post but there is lots of information out there on the internet so if you are looking for a few other recommendations then i would recommend searching the web.
