Shinjuku Observatory

Are you thinking of going up the Skytree or Tokyo Tower but it doesn’t fit into your budget? Don’t worry there is a FREE observatory with a great view in Shinjuku where you can see Tokyo Skytree and even see Mount Fuji on a clear day. At this observatory in Shinjuku you can get a view of Tokyo from 202 meters. It is also a place that is meant to educate people and inform people of Tokyo while also giving people a spectacular view.
From the North east direction of the observatory you can get a good view of the Skytree.

You will have a better chance of seeing mount fuji when the temperatures are cooler so December and February are usually when you can see Mount Fuji clearly.
To go to the TMG Observatory you will have to take the Observatory elevator from the TMG number 1 building. But please be aware that on Saturday, Sundays and holidays this building is not open so you will have to take the front entrance on the first floor. It is open from 9:30am to 11:00pm so you can go and look at the view in the morning or at night. And as mentioned above there is no fee that is charged to go to the observatory.
