Tokyo Midtown Hibiya

Tokyo Midtown Hibiya

Tokyo Midtown Hibiya

Tokyo has a lot of luxury complexes and a new one has just opened up in the Hibiya area. In 2007, Roppongi area turned into a more elegant area when the Tokyo Midtown was made as before that it was considered a hotspot for a dodgy nightlife. So now with Roppongi Hills and the Tokyo Midtown it has become a great elegant spot for families to hangout on the weekend and enjoy a nice shopping day or dinner with friends and family. Of course it is still a main nightlife area but the image of Roppongi is much better since Tokyo Midtown was built.

Hibiya is home to the Imperial Palace, the Imperial Hotel and some other famous monuments of Tokyo so it definitely didn’t need a facelift like Roppongi. But the new Tokyo Midtown Hibiya has certainly attracted a lot more people to this area now. This new complex has 35 floors which includes many restaurants, shops, and movie theatres.

Although there are 35 floors, only 7 of the floors are open to the public as the rest are used as an office space. On the sixth floor there is an area called Base Q where people can enjoy coffee and there are conference rooms that have a beautiful view of Hibiya Park. This new complex also includes a new Toho Cinemas that has 13 screen and 2,800 seats making it the biggest Toho Cinemas theatre in Tokyo.
