As I have mentioned in Part 1 of Top Hotels in Hakone, there are a lot of different hotels that you can choose from in Hakone. And since there are a lot to choose from I have listed some of the most popular hotels in Hakone. These are definitely on the expensive side but they are definitely worth the price.
The Prince Hakone Lake Ashinoko is a luxurious hotel where you can appreciate all of the nature that Hakone has to offer. There are two different types of rooms that you can choose from. The rooms that are located in the main building have either huge balconies or huge windows. Both types offer a great view of Hakone. There are also certain rooms where you can see Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji. You can also see Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji from the gran open air onsen.
One of the very expensive accommodations but yet a spectacular accommodation is the Fontane Bleau Sengokutei which is a small auberge that only has 12 rooms. Through their onsen and food their goal is to provide relaxation and calmness to all their guests. There are three types of rooms that you can choose from and they all come with an open air onsen. The onsen at the Fontane Bleau Sengokutei all use Owakudani Onsen water.
Hotel Setsugetsuka is located just a one minute walk away from Gora station. The hotel has a cute little souvenir shop that has exclusive Hakone souvenirs that you can purchase. The restaurant inside the hotel serve full course Japanese cuisine which they use the seasonal ingredients like fish and vegetables. You can also enjoy Wagyu shabu shabu and tempura. All of the rooms in the hotel come with it’s very own private open air onsen. They are also all designed in a Japanese style that gives the guests a calm atmosphere. There are also communal baths available in the hotel that all have different themes.
Hotel Green Plaza Hakone is most famous for its view of Mount Fuji. You can choose from a Western style room, Japanese style room or a room that is both Western and Japanese style and many of the rooms also have a private open air bath. There are also rooms that provide a fabulous view of Mount Fuji from your window. There is a big open air bath where you can admire Mount Fuji from and uses water from the Sengokuhara Onsen. The great thing about this hotel is that you can access the Hakone Shrine easily and also the Hakone Open Air Museum and the Musee Du Petit Prince De Saint Expepery A Hakone.
Kinnotake hotel has a bar called the Bar Bamboo where guests can grab drinks while being surrounded by the beautiful bamboo garden. They also serve a full course Japanese meal for both breakfast and dinner which you can enjoy in your room or in the dining area. There are four different types that are available and all of the rooms come with an open air bath. You can get an amazing view of Mount Hakone from all of the onsens in the room. You can also relax at the moon Spa which you can make reservations at from 3pm to midnight.
