Top Hydrangea Spots in Tokyo (Part 2)

If you happen to traveling to Japan during rainy season which is usually between mid June to mid July then don’t worry because it isn’t all that bad. The rain does suck because you’ll get wet and will have to carry around an umbrella all day but there are also lots of things to enjoy during this season. During this season the hydrangeas are at there blooming peak and they are absolutely beautiful.

I’ve already introduced a few places that you can go for nice shots to post on instagram in part 1 of this blog so if you are looking for some places that are near by or just any of the locations that look beautiful to you then make sure to check out the first part of this blog.

So here are the rest of the locations that I would recommend going to because you absolutely don’t want to miss out on getting nice shots of the hydrangeas if you are in Tokyo during the rainy season.

In the residential area of Nishi Shinjuku you’re likely to spot many different types of hydrangeas. There are hydrangeas of multiple different colours so just go for a stroll around Nishi Shinjuku station if you want to spot some hydrangeas.

Kamakura is also a really great place if you want to see hydrangeas. So there’s a couple different locations that I will introduce to you. One of these places is the Meigestu-in and it is a really well known temple in Kamakura. It is also very popular for it’s beautiful hydrangeas.

Kamakura is a really beautiful area and you can have a wonderful day just by walking around. Rain or shine I would recommend starting your day at Zuisen-ji and then heading up to the Kamakura-gu Shrine from there you can head to the Kakuon-ji. You’ll spot a lot of hydrangeas along the routes to these locations.
