Genki Mobile does not offer optional or add-on insurance for Pocket Wi-Fi rentals.
This is because most travelers already have coverage through their personal travel insurance or credit card insurance, which typically covers compensation fees for lost or damaged rental equipment.
What this means:
- If the Pocket Wi-Fi device or accessories are lost or damaged, standard replacement fees apply
- Pocket Wi-Fi device: 15,000 JPY (plus 10% Japanese sales tax)
- Accessories: 1,000–2,000 JPY per itemIf you need to file a claim with your own insurance provider, we will provide the required documents to support your claim. Please contact us first if anything happens so we can arrange a replacement and assist you.
