When should I order?
Yes, to cancel, please contact us by email. Please note that cancellations made four or more days prior to your requested rental period will be free of charge. However, for cancellations made three days or less before your requested rental period will incur a 3,000 JPY cancellation fee. (Credit card transaction fees will not be refunded and any difference in exchange rates will not be considered.)
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes, you can cancel your order by contacting us via email. Cancellations made four or more days before your scheduled rental period are free of charge. For cancellations made three days or fewer before the start date, a ¥3,000 cancellation fee will apply. Please note that credit card transaction fees are non-refundable, and any differences in exchange rates will not be accounted for.
Why is there no optional add-on insurance policy?
Since most travel insurance policies already cover compensation fees, we believe an additional insurance option offers limited benefit to our customers. However, we recommend checking with your insurance provider or credit card company in advance to confirm your coverage. If you need to file a claim and require documentation, we’ll be happy to provide the necessary paperwork upon request.
Is there a fair usage policy?
After exceeding 1GB per day (or 7GB per day with the 7GB Plan), data speeds will be reduced to 200kbps (128kbps for the 7GB Plan) with unlimited usage until midnight. Speeds reset daily at 12:00 AM JST. No additional pay-per-use charges will apply.
How much usage can I get out of 1GB?
How many device can connect simultaneously?
Usage varies by individual, but for heavy internet use, we recommend limiting each pocket WiFi device to 1–2 users for optimal performance.
How long does the battery last?
Battery life depends on usage, but according to the manufacturer, each device can last up to 12 hours of continuous internet use.
How do I check my data usage?
You can monitor your data usage by downloading the free Aterm Mobile Tool app. A quick instruction guide for the app will be included with your order upon pickup.
Can I top-up my data usage?
Unfortunately, we do not provide top-up options with this plan.

You can also return your rental using post mail services at Lawson convenience stores nationwide.
Note: Most Japanese airports have post boxes in the departure lobby, but there are none beyond the security checkpoint. Please return your items before going through security.
