Destination weddings are extremely popular but you can also just get your wedding photos taken in Japan. And if you are looking for some of the best places to get a perfect picture then here are some of the most recommended places to take spectacular pictures.

In Hokkaido there is a huge Sunflower Field where you are bound to take amazing pictures. It is such a beautiful place to take photos that there is no way that you cannot get a good shot. The sunflowers in Hokkaido begin blooming around mid-July and last until the end of October. There are a few different sunflower fields in Hokkaido so depending on the region the end of the season may differ. The most popular fields are the Hokuryu and Ogawa Noen field. Hokuryu’s sunflower field has around 1.5 million sunflowers that bloom every year making it the largest sunflower field in Japan. Entrance for these sunflower fields are free so you’re welcome to go at anytime and to stay for as long as you like.

In Ibaraki, there is a beautiful shrine called Tsukubasan Shrine which is said to specialize in marriages/marriage ties and also said to be more than 3,000 years old. Taking pictures here in a traditional Japanese attire would make for absolutely stunning pictures.

Another popular location to take pictures in Ibaraki is the Hitachi Seaside Park. From mid-April to May there are beautiful nemophilas flowers that boom. It is said that approximately 4.5 million nemophilas bloom at this park every year. And then in the fall these nemophilas are replaced by summer cypresses. You are surely bound to get beautiful shots here.

Another great place to take your wedding pictures would be at the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. It is the oldest temple in Tokyo and is one of the most beautiful temples. On a clear day you can also see the Tokyo Skytree which is the world’s highest free standing broadcasting tower. But because a lot of tourists go to the Sensoji Temple you may want to start your shoot very early in the morning as to avoid the crowd.

Tokyo tower is a very popular spot to take wedding pictures. Especially at night when the Tokyo tower is lit up it makes for a beautiful place to take pictures. There is a belief that couples who watch the Tokyo Tower lights go off together will be happy together for the rest of their lives. So it has become a spot where people taking wedding pictures together.

And if you are up for the challenge you can get some amazing shots from the very top of Mount Fuji. Yes, this is a very extreme location to take pictures, however, if you are lucky you will get some amazing shots. But if you are not willing to go all the way up Mount Fuji then you can always take photos that are just as amazing at the foot of the Mountain.

Another great photo spot would be Shinjuku gyoen park during cherry blossom season. There is nothing more magical than standing in a park full of cherry blossom trees to take your wedding pictures. You can wear either a Japanese traditional style wedding gown or a Western style wedding dress and the pictures are guaranteed to come out perfectly.
