Spring in Japan (Part 4)
Spring in Japan (Part 4)
One of the most popular season to visit Japan is Spring. One of the main reasons people visit Japan during the Spring time is to see the famous Cherry Blossoms. There are obviously a lot of other things to do during the spring time in Japan but with the weather getting warmer there are lots of great parks you can visit as well. I’ve already introduced a bunch of different spots where you can get a view of the mountains, sakura cherry blossoms, canola flowers and other flowers. So you can go check this out in three of the other blogs that I’ve written.
The first place that i’m going to mention in part 4 of this blog is Fukiyama in Hiroshima. There is a bus stop called the Jusanbutsu Iriguchi. Jusanbutsu translated into 13 Buddhas and at this bus stop you will find that you can go for a unique and quiet stroll. There is a fantastic canola garden there but you can also get a view of the Seto Inland Sea.
In the Toon City of the Ehima Prefecture there is a big shopping mall called L’espace City. It is located in a convenient area at it is only a 6 minute walk away from the Minara Station. Here you can enjoy relaxing at their onsen, watching movies, and shopping for clothes and other goods. You can definitely keep yourself entertained for the whole day. And right outside of the mall there is a garden named the Minara no Nanohanabatake which has a bunch of canola flowers growing. Not only that you can see the beautiful sunset with the mountains in the back.
In the Ehime Prefecture the JR Yosan Line is a railway that runs through this prefecture. The JR Yosan Line is an extremely popular railway line and is especially popular during the spring time. The tracks run along the Seto Inland Sea and you can get an amazing view of the blye seat, the yellow canola gardens and also sakura cherry blossoms. If you love to drive then I would definitely recommend driving along the Japan National Route 378.
Nokonoshima is a small island located just ten minutes away from Fukuoka. It is a small island floating on the Hakata Bay and it is saturated with nature. One of the main attractions of the island is the Nokonoshima Island Park and there are lots of different events that are held there during the Spring time. There is a huge flower garden that has over 50,000 canola flowers and there are lots of sakura trees as well. And at night the garden and the sakura trees get illuminated you can even enjoy a stroll around the garden during the sunset.
An hour drive away from Beppu is the Nagasakibana Resort Camp which is one of the most popular onsen spot to go to in the Kyushu area of Japan. The biggest canola garden can be found at the Nagasakibana Resort Camp. There is over 20,000,000 flowers in total in the camp area. It is a total of 12 hectares and it also has beaches and restaurants that you can go to which makes for a great camp resort to go to with friends and family.
Ibusaki, Kagoshima has a beautiful Lake called Lake Ikeda. It is located at the southern end of Kyushu and so the climate allows the area to grow beautiful canola flowers as early as December to February. There are tons of great onsens near the Lake Ikeda so you can enjoy the onsens, the lake, the canola gardens and the Kaimonsake Volcano.
In Fukushima there is a place called the Kassenba no Shidarezakura and here there is a very unique sakura species called the Shidarezakura. What makes this different from the other sakura trees is that the Shidarezakura looks as though the branches and the flowers are handing down from the trees. This is an extremely popular place to visit for tourists and locals and at night it also gets illuminated.
